The Engineering Manager is responsible for managing engineering projects concerning all the machines, utilities, facilities, and buildings. This position also maintains facilities and equipment, ensures equipment availability, and drives technical improvements necessary for both existing and new processes and products.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Performs and oversees project management and engineering of capital and expense projects including scope development, safety reviews, equipment specifications, quotation of equipment, bid package development-quoting for installations, field supervision of construction, cost control, commissioning, and project closure.
  2. Plans, coordinates, controls, and fully embeds engineering changes up to agreed thresholds in accordance with quality and costs objectives.
  3. Manages capex plan on behalf of Site Manager and delivers project studies, pre-projects, and capital projects at quality, in time, and within budget.
  4. Contributes in defining needs by bringing technical expertise and by formalizing the strategic elements of the project. Supports the site departments in their investment request applications.
  5. Joins regional team to lead multi-sites projects and to exchange best practices.
  6. Develops and manages the Maintenance and Engineering budget (costs, quality, service & HSE) including cost allocation model.
  7. Ensures that site maintenance operations are planned and executed in accordance with timing, quality, and costs objectives.
  8. Ensures timely and accurate availability of reports and metrics required to manage M&E costs and service.
  9. Secures reliability and availability of installation through establishing appropriate preventive maintenance and inspection plans that satisfy regulatory and business needs.
  10. Manages and scales up the manufacturing implementation of new products on site in line with the New Product Introduction Procedures (Stage Gate Process).
  11. Enables and contributes to the implementation of CI / ALPS initiatives.
  12. Stays informed about relevant technology, company news, and current SHE standards, and takes action if necessary. Identifies what the pertinent information is to use.
  13. Complies with all the applicable corporate as well as site and laboratory policies/procedures with regard to personal conduct, HSE, and Product Safety & Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) standards and process safety management processes.

  5. Strengthens the talent pipeline by developing talent and regularly assesses and discusses talent and internal movement. Continuously monitors and evaluates retention risk.
  6. Ensures reporting line is fully informed and acts in line with HSE and Compliance regulations.
  7. Manages and plans relevant budgets and proactively manages costs.
  8. Reports on progress on a continuous basis.
Job Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s Degree (chemical, mechanical, electrical, civil engineering or equivalent)
  2. 10+ years experience in a manufacturing facility
  3. Significant experience in chemical or mechanical construction project engineering
  4. Familiarity with the codes and standards regulating the chemical process industry
  5. SAP Experience
  6. People management experience
Compensation/Rewards

The salary range for these skills is: $110,000 - $123,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
