What We Are Looking For:
As a Principal Technical Project Manager, you will work with the project team to provide technical expertise during key parts of the deployment process. You will ensure design reviews are conducted comprehensively and provide technical support to customers on ESS requirements and other design requirements as needed by Stem for the application. You will be the technical resource assigned to a number of projects in coordination with the project managers.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Project Management, Technical Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Software Development to ensure complete engineering requirements are understood for every project.
- Review customer plan sets to ensure compliance with ESS installation requirements and Stem operational requirements.
- Support the creation of Communication Network Drawings specific to each project.
- Create documentation to support lessons learned from customer installations.
- Effectively coordinate with the client and internal resources while troubleshooting issues at the site.
- Coordinate internal resources developing accountability and clarity in scope and timeline.
- Special project assignment and management for bespoke projects.
- Perform field visits to validate installations or help troubleshoot installations.
- Work with equipment suppliers for technical support and commissioning troubleshooting.
- Attend periodic project meetings - internal and with customers.
- Create checklists and other supporting documentation to streamline support.
- Work with the commissioning engineering team to expedite provisioning the Stem hardware.
- Help to define and refine internal processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience successfully supporting energy projects, from pre-sales to Operations.
- Experience working with Battery Energy Storage System suppliers and/or inverter manufacturers.
- Experience in field commissioning of inverters and monitoring and control devices.
- Minimum 6 years' experience in the power or renewable energy sector.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in project engineering and/or field experience.
- Strong written, verbal, and customer account management skills.
- Motivated to continue learning new hardware, software, and technology.
- Ability to understand and communicate both technical and business information.
- Able to manage multiple projects in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Job Location:
Travel: 25%
This position is based in Broomfield, CO or Remote.
This is a salaried exempt position, M-F, with additional weekend work as required.
Salary Range:
$109,200.00 - $163,800.00
