This role involves troubleshooting network issues, managing hardware and software configurations, ensuring system security, and providing support to end-users. This position reports directly to the COO to assist in maintaining the integrity of United’s technological framework.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support the Epic System Administrator and Senior Network Administrator.
  • Help to support and cover United’s technology help desk.
  • Help manage and track our technology equipment and hardware. This will include ordering new and replacement PC’s, thin clients, phones, headsets, keyboards and other peripherals. Configuring this equipment as needed, and occasional onsite visits for installation, testing and troubleshooting will be necessary.
  • Network Administration duties related to the Citrix thin client and Cisco phone environment.
  • Work with our various Insurance carriers to create login profiles for new employees.
  • Work on special projects as assigned; CSR24 Mobile Insured, SharePoint, creating and consolidating forms, questionnaires, and supplemental applications.
  • Manage compliance mailbox which includes licensing and appointment duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • An Education in the IT Field, with ideally a minimum of a 2-year degree preferred.
  • 2 - 3 years of full-time IT, Helpdesk, reporting and systems administration experience preferred.
  • Experience in the Citrix and Thin Client environment as well as with Cisco Phones.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and departments.
  • High degree of initiative, exercising independent judgment, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, detail-oriented work environment; ability to function in stressful situations and think strategically and analytically to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
  • Ability to translate information related to current and new technology and telecommunication hardware, systems, and processes to all levels of internal staff. Ability to interact credibly and diplomatically and to lead through influence.
  • Good understanding and technical knowledge of current computer systems (hardware/software), networks, security, telecommunications, databases, and storage systems.
  • Engage in ongoing learning of the latest technologies and trends by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and being active in professional organizations.
  • A positive attitude, a personable nature, and plenty of patience with our fellow employees.
  • Ability to calmly diffuse frustrated and stressed employees when they reach out for assistance.
