Education and/or Years of Experience:

  • Four years of professional experience in revenue analysis, grants analysis, accounting, or a similar field
  • Two years of professional experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering, program research and planning, program evaluation
  • A degree from a college or university in a relevant field of study can substitute up to two years of the required experience

About Us:

The Office of Revenue Management is under the Assistant Secretary for Administration located at the Department of Children and Families (DCF) Headquarters in Tallahassee, Florida. This Office is comprised of different units responsible for federal cost allocation and reporting, cash management, and revenue forecasting. The Revenue Management Systems Unit supports the above units and manages various tasks including the Grant and Revenues Allocation Tracking System.

What you will do:

This is a professional position performing complex business and financial analysis. The incumbent is expected to function independently to define solutions that maximize value, including strategy and goals for new programs or improvement of existing ones. This role also involves administering revenue systems for complex grants analysis.

Examples of job duties include:

  • Using financial systems to generate, update, and maintain financial records
  • Tracking, interpreting, and reconciling federal awards in compliance with federal regulations
  • Analyzing financial transactions to determine accuracy and completeness
  • Meeting with stakeholders to determine business needs
  • Providing technical support and managing alignment of customer needs and agency strategy
  • Producing business cases and functional requirements for financial systems development
  • Maintaining systems documentation
  • Preparing user documentation or instructions

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of Project Management standards
  • Ability to learn data collection tools and techniques
  • Skilled in writing documentation and user manuals
  • Ability to analyze data and develop recommendations
  • Ability to organize data for presentation
  • Ability to conduct research and utilize problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently and establish effective working relationships
