We are seeking a highly skilled Business Functional Analyst to join our team at GovCIO, a leading provider of innovative IT services and solutions for government agencies. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Health Services Portfolio Technical Management and Strategic Solutioning Support (HTMS) program within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information and Technology (OIT).

About the Role

This is a fully remote position within the United States with core hours of operation from Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM ET. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with business and technology teams to identify system requirements, design processes, and develop solutions that meet the needs of end-users.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and design business processes and systems to ensure seamless integration with technology
  • Provide technical/functional expertise in identifying, evaluating, developing, and supporting systems
  • Interface between systems architects/programmers and users to ensure information technology designs meet user needs
  • Document product/service requirements and develop acceptance criteria to ensure user requests are carried out
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field with 7+ years' experience, or 8-10 years of relevant experience may be substituted for education
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to relay concise messaging and reporting to all levels of management
  • Excellent analytical and investigation skills to craft solutions to challenging problems or issues
  • Experience with Microsoft collaborative tools, including Teams, SharePoint, Jira, and Atlassian products
  • Advanced experience in process development tools, such as Visio
