Principal Responsibilities:

Early Childhood at Manny Cantor Center fosters progressive education, emphasizing inquiry, exploration, and play. Our Program Coordinators support families, teachers, and staff, facilitating daily operations.

SCOPE OF INFLUENCE
  • Partner with teaching staff and administration in preschool philosophy and direction.
  • Support operations, data entry, and workflow for Early Childhood programs.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, maintaining readiness for reviews.
  • Maintain close working relationships with teaching and administrative staff.
  • Liaison for families into the school.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIESEnrollment, Registration and Compliance Paperwork
  • Assist families with enrollment paperwork.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations on compliance paperwork.
  • Maintain documentation of fire drills and lockdowns.
  • Manage allergy lists and doctor paperwork for students.
  • Keep incident report binders up to date.
  • Send reminders for flu shots and vaccination forms annually.
Interactions with Staff, Children, and Families
  • Build relationships with families to answer program-related questions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and support family privacy.
  • Fulfill responsibilities of Mandated Reporting.
  • Assist families with ASQ assessments at the school’s start.
Administrative Support
  • Maintain physical and digital files for compliance with educational standards.
  • Update case notes and rosters as needed.
  • Support logistics and daily operations, including communication tasks.
  • Create and translate materials for family engagement.
  • Organize the Early Childhood Office effectively.
  • Ensure timely updates to family information.
  • Conduct daily attendance checks and manage sign-in/out sheets.
  • Coordinate with the Data Manager and Operations Coordinator for various needs.
Operational Support
  • Stay informed on agency and department policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Director of Operations with school operations tasks.
Other
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development events as required.
  • Perform additional assigned duties and responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience in school operations and knowledge of diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Proficient with MS Office and various computer systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Active participation in community events.
Preferred Attributes:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Knowledge of Early Childhood Education.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations.
  • Bilingual abilities preferred.
