As the Director of Executive Development (Talent Management) at Micron Technology, your opportunity is to lead strategic talent management initiatives to build senior leader capability and ensure Micron’s culture is ready for the future. Your immediate focus will be on executive lifecycle activities, from onboarding through development and capability building to succession planning, talent planning, org design, and insights gathering.
Role Description- Lead overall strategy for capability assessment and building for Micron executives – focusing on the “Top 100” executive leaders.
- Lead assessment, design, and delivery of unique curriculum and learning events for “Top 100” – and additional differentiated development opportunities for critical succession positions “Top 25” leaders – accelerated for high potentials.
- Responsible for the executive coaching and assessment strategy, process, and communication in partnership with the Global Executive Business Partners.
- Support Senior Executives on executive succession planning, talent management, organizational design, development planning and data insights for their teams/organizations.
- Support talent planning initiatives, including strategic talent moves within Micron, to build a stronger executive leadership pipeline.
- Partner with Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion leadership to ensure Micron wins with diversity and builds a stronger inclusive culture.
- Facilitates strategic cultural and capability-building executive interventions as needed.
- Partner with Organizational Effectiveness, Leadership Development, and Performance Management to drive integrated executive solutions to build organizational capabilities.
- Strategically set goals and lead the reporting and analytics to drive building an executive leadership pipeline globally in partnership with Global Executive Business Partners, DEI, and People Analytics.
- Lead executive onboarding framework for internal and external candidates and support executive onboarding activities in partnership with Global Executive Business Partners.
- Act as a strategic consultant to collaborators and internal team members.
- Support the measurement strategies for Talent Management – specifically around executive bench strength, readiness, and overall talent availability.
- Inspire change and communication management at senior levels within Micron.
- Lead and support Talent Management needs and integration with Workday/other systems or AI enablement opportunities.
- Facilitate other Leadership Development experiences as needed.
- Provide feedback and lead challenging conversations and interactions as needed.
- Demonstrated ability working in large global companies with revenues of $10B+
- Expertise in driving strategic talent management initiatives.
- Ability to design and complete innovative and engaging learning and talent initiatives
- Proven global experience in advising and influencing executive leaders (with a strong personal executive presence)
- Ability to identify process improvements and drive improvements at a tactical level
- Deep expertise in organizational change and communications
- Ability to collaborate globally and build sustainable relationships at all levels of the enterprise
- Hands-on delivery capability on our cadre of leadership development offerings
- A growth mindset that supports the business strategic intent
- Track record of implementing and delivering results through global programs
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is: $145,500.00 - $302,500.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
