Build and lead the finance and administrative function of a profitable category-leading enterprise software company

Position Summary

We seek an experienced finance leader to build and manage our financial and administrative operations from the ground up. This role will oversee accounting, treasury, reporting, budgeting, and human resources activities. In addition, this person will be a key contributor to strategy and acquisition management. The position will report to the Founder and CEO, and will work closely with the Private Equity sponsor and Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting: Develop an effective chart of accounts, manage bookkeeping, ensure compliance, and manage external auditors.
  • Treasury: Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury operations.
  • Reporting: Provide regular financial and operational reports to the executive team and Board of Directors.
  • Budgeting: Build and manage a comprehensive financial model that informs capital allocation and strategic choices.
  • Acquisitions: Participate in the evaluation and integration of add-on acquisitions.
  • Human Resources: Manage the company's human resources function, including hiring, compensation, benefits, and performance management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a high-growth, early-stage enterprise software company
  • Experience working with Private Equity sponsors and Boards of Directors
  • Expertise in financial planning and analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to build finance processes from scratch
  • Background in analyzing and integrating acquisitions
  • Strong understanding of financial operations, accounting principles, and internal controls
  • Familiarity with implementing and leveraging ERP systems (currently QuickBooks Only with plans to upgrade)
  • Comfortable working in a small, distributed, and global organization
  • Experience working remotely
  • Interest in leveraging artificial intelligence to drive quality and efficiency improvements
  • Willingness to occasionally travel for Board meetings and executive team collaboration
