Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Used Car Reconditioning Technician to join our team at Mercedes-Benz of Loveland, located in Loveland, Colorado. This individual will be responsible for inspecting and reconditioning pre-owned vehicles to meet our high dealership standards. As a Used Car Reconditioning Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our pre-owned vehicles meet or exceed customer expectations. This is a full-time position.

Compensation & Benefits:

The compensation for this position is $30 to $40 per flat rate hour based on experience and qualifications. Employee benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and employee discounts on vehicle purchases and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and evaluate pre-owned vehicles for any mechanical or cosmetic concerns
  • Review vehicle history reports and perform diagnostic tests to identify potential issues
  • Conduct necessary repairs and maintenance to ensure that vehicles meet dealership standards
  • Detail vehicles, including cleaning, waxing, and polishing to maintain a high level of appearance
  • Contact and coordinate with outside vendors for specialized services, as needed
  • Communicate any potential issues or concerns to management and provide recommended solutions
  • Accurately and timely record all work performed and maintain records of services and repair orders
  • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Technical school or vocational training is a plus
  • At least 2 years of experience as a reconditioning technician in an automotive dealership or related field
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics and diagnostics
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with electronic diagnostic equipment and tools
  • Attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
