Position Overview

As the HR & Payroll Coordinator, you’ll provide essential support to our HR & Risk Manager, focusing on payroll accuracy, compliance, and a variety of human resources functions. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on precision, confidentiality, and the opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic organization.

Schedule: M-F 8 – 4:30

Starting Wage: $22-$26/hr

This position is not eligible for Work from Home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and verify payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Audit timesheets, attendance records, and benefits adjustments.
  • Maintain and update employee information in HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Support onboarding, including I-9 compliance and new hire paperwork.
  • Assist with benefits processing, including enrollments, terminations, and COBRA.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, including preparing EEOC and OSHA reports.
  • Provide administrative support for HR initiatives, training, and employee events.
  • Respond to employee inquiries about payroll and HR policies.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 2–4 years of HR-related experience. Experience with PAYCOM or similar HRIS systems is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and HR/payroll software.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
