Slot Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:
It is the primary responsibility of the Slot Technician to be responsible for the overall repair and maintenance of all slot machines. The Slot Technician will also participate in installation, movement and removal of slot related equipment, game preparation, software and parts compatibility checks and theme conversions all while maintaining proper gaming logs to comply with state or internal regulations. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Company Policies and Procedures.
- Maintains and repairs slot machines, including internal cleanliness, in a quick and efficient manner.
- Repairs and rebuilds or installs new parts when required.
- Maintains and repairs other slot equipment, coin counters, coin changers, wrapping machines, electronic displays, progressive meters, and related equipment.
- Performs slot projects, relocation of slot machines and stands, and progressive meters and other projects as directed by the head slot mechanic.
- Checks clip boards on casino floor on a periodic basis for out-of-order machines and completes repairs as quickly as possible.
- Fills out a work card on slot machine when making repairs as to parts used and what was done to fix the machine.
- Investigates on a daily basis the slot machines that have taken fills or that show no drops for possible malfunctions.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- Ability to troubleshoot.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to follow policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to lift and move without restrictions.
- Advanced mechanical and electronic diagnostic repair skills.
- Knowledge of hand tools and electronic testing devices Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Computer literacy including basic data input and ability to download programs.
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Preferred:
- At least 3 years of directly related work experience.
- At least 2 years of electronics certificate/degree or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a similar setting.
