Job Duties:
Effectively identifies, evaluates, and addresses disease prevention and health promotion issues of the population in the practice while administering quality patient care.
Works in an independent and interdependent relationship with members of the medical staff, which allows for consultation, collaboration, or referral.
Educates patients about preventive care, medical issues, and use of prescribed medical treatments or medications.
Analyzes new knowledge gained from conferences, workshops, professional literature, or “hands-on training” and assimilates this knowledge into clinical practice.
Provided Services Include: (but not limited to)
Primary Care Provider /Pediatrics
Examines and treat chronic conditions within the Family Practice scope of Practice. Patients from New Born to adults. Ensures proper injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides advice regarding personal health and hygiene. Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary. Requires a degree in medicine from an accredited school and is licensed to practice. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. . A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

WHNP/Midwife
Women’s Health to provide quality obstetrical and gynecological health services to patients in Wake County and underserved communities . This position is occupied by board certified nurse practitioners (WHNP-BC / FNP-BC) and/or physician assistants (PA) who are specifically trained and proficient in the provision of women’s healthcare . The provider in this position will perform a variety of gynecological and prenatal health services within the clinician's scope of practice and skill level and in compliance with the rules and regulations set forth by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and North Carolina Medical Board. The ACP is responsible for evaluating, treating, and managing care for women across the lifespan.
