Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Bariatric Surgery. As a member of our team, you will work under the general supervision of our Medical Director and physician partners to deliver high-quality medical care to patients at WakeMed. This role will involve a combination of inpatient and outpatient care, and you will have the opportunity to work closely with other healthcare providers in a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach.
Responsibilities- Deliver competent medical care to patients in Bariatric Surgery
- Work under the general supervision of our Medical Director and physician partners
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to maximize patient care
- Function as an educator for PA/NP/CNM/DO students from healthcare education programs
- Maintain the scope of practice consistent with policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
- 1 year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- Basic Life Support certification within 6 months of hire
