*Job Summary*
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will provide essential nursing care to patients, assisting in their recovery and ensuring their comfort. This role requires a strong understanding of medical documentation, infection control, and pain management techniques.

*Duties*
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
* Conduct patient assessments and maintain accurate medical documentation.
* Assist with family planning services and provide education to patients.
* Perform catheterization and manage patients' needs related to urinary health.
* Implement infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
* Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient conditions.
* Provide pain management support and assist with diagnostic evaluations.
* Operate neonatal ventilators when necessary and support neonatal care.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
* Utilize Athenahealth software for managing patient records and scheduling.

Shift: 6am-6:30pm with rotating weekends

Pay Breakdown:

$50 hourly (blended)

$15/hr (taxed)

$32/hr (nontaxed/stipend)

Duration: 13 week contract with possible extension

*Qualifications*
* Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Illinois
* Must have 1+ years of LPN experience
* Must have active BLS
* Familiarity with family planning, pain management, and infection control procedures.
* Ability to catheterize patients effectively.
* Experience with diagnostic evaluations is a plus.
* Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly Athenahealth, is desirable.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
* Commitment to providing compassionate care to patients of all ages.
