We would like to welcome a Collections Representative II responsible for performing orderly, efficient, and legal collection procedures to protect the Credit Union against loss while insuring full compliance with all appropriate rules and regulations governing the collection process. Bilingual Korean a plus

JOB REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITES

Communicates with members to establish mutually acceptable repayment arrangements.
Takes the appropriate course of action for the successful collection of past due accounts when routine techniques have not been successful.
Must maintain a positive and professional interaction with members, branch offices and departments.
In the absence of the Vice President, Collections or Collection Supervisor may provide limited direction and guidance to Collection Representatives to insure loan collection activities meet Credit Union Guidelines.
May provide delinquent members with financial advice and counseling on a limited basis.
General hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM- 5:30 pm. Some Saturdays maybe required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES

High School diploma or equivalent.
Associate's degree preferred, with a focus in accounting, business, or finance.
A minimum of two to five years of financial institution experience as a collection representative or similar position. Credit Union background desirable.
Prior experience and proficiency with the use of external skip trace tools preferred.
Must be knowledgeable and proficient in the understanding of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and related rules and regulations governing the collection process.

PAY RANGE

In accordance with California’s Pay Transparency Act (SB 1162), the expected salary range for this position is between:

$23.00 - $26.55

Actual pay will be determined based on a candidate’s specific qualifications, including their knowledge, skills, education and experience, internal equity consideration, as well as other job-related factors permitted by law.

Note: As part of our screening process, LBS Financial conducts background investigations on candidates who are extended an offer and who agree and authorize us to do so. This investigation will include:
