_*Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLP)*_

Our mission at Faith in Action Community Education Services is to rebuild our community’s faith in the education system. Provide our families, and students with resources that will enable them to reach the very goals and dreams they have set out to achieve. We’re currently seeking a motivated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team and work with our patients to help assess conditions, and design therapy and treatment plans to help the patient or student develop necessary speech skills.

_*Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) Responsibilities*_

·Plan and provide appropriate individual and group speech and language therapy to students consistent with speech/language goals under the direction of a state-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).

.Assist with screenings and evaluations as directed by supervising SLP.

·Administer routine speech and language tests as directed by supervisor when the licensed supervisor has assured proper training and administration of such tests.

·Educating patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events. Implement documented treatment plans or protocols developed by a supervising SLP.

.Document student progress toward meeting established objectives and report information back to SLP.

_*QUALIFICATIONS*_:

· An Associate Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a Bachelor's Degree in communications

· Valid state license or certification

· Strong understanding of Speech-related conditions, causes, and treatments.

_ *EDUCATION:*_

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university and master’s degree Required. CREDENTIALS/CERTIFICATES/LICENSES:

Valid Driver’s license Required.
