About the Company: American Engineering is actively seeking Civil Engineers specialized in Land Development in our Chesapeake, VA office who are eager to be part of a growing engineering firm. As part of American Engineering, individuals will play a critical role within the design teams, creating solutions for projects within the Land Development and / or Water Resources sectors. A successful candidate will be responsible for creating the design and development of a variety of civil engineering and land planning projects to track for Project Management. Requirements: A bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience with AutoCAD and CAD / Civil 3D. FE/EIT/EI preferred (or can obtain shortly after starting). Strong working knowledge in Civil drafting – road plans, commercial site plans, and residential subdivisions. Ability to communicate effectively both written and spoken. Experience with grading, drainage and stormwater management design, and erosion and sediment control a PLUS. Eager to learn and grow as an individual. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong attention to detail. Comfortable working on-site in an office setting. Willing to relocate or commute to the Hampton Roads Area.
