About the Position The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Issue and collect materials/ merchandise. Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to utilize computer and office machines. Operate a forklift and power trucks. Protective Personal Equipment (PPE) devices are required. Follow all local SOPs, policies, and Marine Regulations. Ability to speak, write and read the English language. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Great organizational skills and detailed oriented. Complete documents and reports. Possess working knowledge of Microsoft office system to include Word, Excel and Outlook. Computer and office machine skills. Basic math, problem solving skills. Be willing to take orders and work in a team towards the fulfillment of the project. Warehouse environment but may be outdoors from time-to-time. Work requires standing, bending, lifting, and walking for the majority of the day. Capable of lifting and carrying moderately heavy material (up to 60 lbs.) Duties/Responsibilities: Verify materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents. Note and report discrepancies and obvious damages. Route materials to prescribed storage locations. Store, stack, or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods. Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials. Examine stored materials. Report deterioration and damage. Remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment. May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties. Make preventive maintenance adjustments to related equipment. Perform all other duties as assigned. Education and Experience : High School degree or equivalent. Must have and maintain Material Heavy Equipment (MHE) license with 4K and 6K capacity. Minimum two years related experience, of which one year shall be using the type of equipment to be operated or specializing in required expertise. Be able to operate warehouse operating software system such as: DSS and MCPALMS. Must obtain or have and maintain NACI clearance. Must have and maintain valid U.S. License Obtain and maintain a Common Access Card.
