About the Role This position entails preparing equipment and providing patient care in a high-pressure cardiovascular environment. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of cardiologists to maintain sterile conditions while supporting new staff and students. To excel in this role, candidates must possess certification and training in radiologic technology, along with continuing education in life support.
Key Responsibilities Pre-procedure Preparation : Ensures all necessary equipment is prepared and ready for use during procedures.
Patient Care : Identifies and assesses patient conditions, prepares, positions, and provides quality patient care.
Environmental Control : Maintains a sterile environment throughout procedures.
Professional Development : Serves as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation and development.
Downtime Management : Utilizes downtime effectively by restocking rooms, checking equipment, and performing other delegated tasks.
Requirements Certification in Radiologic Technology (RT)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent
Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire
Previous Procedural Area experience preferred
Compensation Package $27.84-$45.46 per hour based on previous work experience
