As an ICU RN for night shifts, you will assume accountability and responsibility as a professional nurse for providing "Patient-Centered Care" to an assigned group of patients. You will plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care while providing a holistic view that includes dimensions of physical, developmental, emotional, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and functional status. Your initial assessments will provide a baseline for future comparisons to individualize care, with ongoing assessment and reassessment required to meet the patient's changing needs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive patient care following established nursing objectives, standards, policies, and procedures.
Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to develop and evaluate nursing care plans.
Ensure accurate documentation and maintain adequate supplies.
Operate medical equipment proficiently and safely.
Act as an educator to peers, patients, and their families, supporting service excellence and a healing environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; BSN preferred.
Clear and active RN licensure in the State of Florida.
American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
NIHSS certification.
CCRN preferred.
At least 2 years of ICU experience in an acute care hospital setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and critical thinking abilities.
