Our surgical support staff focus on the unique skills required for assisting patients before, during, and after procedures.
Join our Scripps cardiovascular operating room team as a Surgical Tech where you will:
Ensure OR rooms are prepared for surgery, with all case-specific sterile supplies and equipment ready.
Monitor the sterile field during procedures, scrub in, and anticipate the needs of the physician and team.
Proactively use support services to resolve issues, and assist with patient positioning and transport.
Organize room cleanup and ensure efficient turnover, including equipment decontamination .
This is a full time 12-hour varied shift position with call.
*$4K New Hire Incentive, $3K Relocation if moving from 100+ miles.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the followingcriteria must be met
- Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offerletter)
- Must remain in original department/specialty
- Must remain in original Job Title
- Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis andmay result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically notedin your offer letter.
Required Qualifications:
- 1 year of recent experience as a CVOR Surgical Technologist or completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist training program.
- Current BLS from the American Heart Association
- Excellent communication skills. Basic computer skills. Able to multi-task and work well in a team environment. Detail-oriented and able to work well in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years Cardiac experience
- CST Certification
