Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Software Principal Engineer on our Software Engineering Team in Austin, Texas.What youll achieveAs a Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software based on the customers business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.You will:Responsible for IHV Software/Driver/FW management for assigned projectsAble to develop tools for factory usage.Prepare, review and evaluate software specifications for products and systemsWorking with external, cross-functional, and internal teams (including systems and test engineers and product support) to deliver end-to-end solutionsTake the first step towards your dream careerEvery Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Heres what we are looking for with this role:Essential RequirementsGood knowledge of programming languages; operating systems; firmware; BIOS; device drivers; databases; system, network, operating system, and application administration; embedded software/firmware; tools and utilitiesAbility to code/debug and guide others to code/debug flexible, scalable and complex programs, using either written or verbal design specificationsExperience with multiple programming languages, databases, operating systems, tools and hardware platformsAbility to learn new tools, languages and operating systems with some training and on-the-job experienceKnowledgeable in Windows security features across x86/Arm Based SoCDesirable Requirements6 to 8 years of related experience with a bachelors degreeMinimum of 6 years Python programming experience, with additional knowledge in security and TPMCompensationDell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
