As the Director of Commercial Construction, you will provide strategic leadership to ensure the success of our commercial construction projects and department. This role requires a results-driven leader who will focus on sales, operations, productivity, long-term client relationships, and profitability. Your leadership will drive the department’s impact on our company’s growth and reputation for quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial construction department, establishing and executing strategic goals focused on productivity, client satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships, establishing trust and attracting new business.
  • Manage project lifecycles, from planning and scheduling to execution, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and budgets are met.
  • Act as the primary liaison for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, aligning all parties to project specifications.
  • Oversee compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all projects.
  • Lead financial management efforts for the department, including budgeting, procurement, and expense tracking.
  • Mentor, train, and inspire a high-performing construction team, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Drive continuous improvement by staying current with industry best practices, regulatory updates, and new technologies.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5-10 years in commercial construction management with at least 5 years in a leadership role; commercial pool construction experience preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to inspire and develop teams, set direction, and achieve results.
  • Operational Expertise: In-depth knowledge of commercial construction principles, project management, and budget oversight.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Proficient in construction project management software and tools.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel to project sites and adapt to flexible hours as required.
  • Additional Requirements: Clean DMV record; OSHA certification or familiarity with safety standards is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary: $95,000 - $125,000 annually
  • Performance-Based Bonuses: Additional bonus opportunities aligned with departmental goals, offering rewards for achieving productivity, client satisfaction, and profitability targets.
