Job Title: Production Chemist I
Location: Wild Manufacturing
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: $45,000 - $55,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications

Job Summary

Wild Manufacturing is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Chemist I to join our production team. This entry-level position plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our botanical products by performing chemical analysis, monitoring production processes, and assisting in research and development. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in chemistry, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production Support: Assist in the formulation and mixing of botanical products, ensuring accurate measurements and adherence to production protocols.
  • Quality Control: Perform chemical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of production processes, test results, and adjustments made during manufacturing.
  • Process Monitoring: Monitor production operations to ensure equipment is functioning properly and processes are running smoothly.
  • Compliance: Ensure all production activities align with company, industry, and regulatory standards.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in the management of chemicals and raw materials, including receiving, labeling, and proper storage.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including R&D and quality assurance teams, to improve formulations and production efficiency.
  • Safety: Follow all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment (internships or academic lab work acceptable).
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of chemical principles and analytical techniques.
    • Proficiency with lab equipment such as spectrometers, titrators, and pH meters.
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
    • Basic knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) is a plus.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work in a production environment.
