Job Description

As an Estate Planning Paralegal, you will manage cases throughout the process, from initial intake through signing and funding. If you are a self-starter with impeccable attention to detail and have experience with estate planning, we would love to hear from you

Duties

• Manage Caseload: Oversee estate planning matters from inception to completion.
• Document Preparation: Assist attorneys in preparing powers of attorneys, advance directives, wills, and trusts; forms 706 and 709, as well as state inheritance tax returns and waiver forms.
• Trust Administration: Assit attirneys with trust administration and accounting tasks.
• Client Communication: Provide regular updates to clients and address their inquiries promptly.
• Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys and staff to ensure timely progression of cases.
• Organization: Maintain and organize client files with meticulous attention to detail.
• Coordination: Schedule signing appointments and ensure all documents are executed properly, including related post-signing tasks.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years as an Estate Planning Paralegal; experience with revocable and irrevocable living trusts; experience with Forms 706 and 709, state inheritance tax returns, and waiver forms.
• Detail-Oriented: Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Time Management: Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Independent: Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with MS Office, and experience with CRM and law practice managemet software, including timekeeping.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
