Pride Health is seeking candidates for a Mammography Tech opening that would support our client's healthcare systems in Morristown, NJ This is a 13-weeks contract assignment with high possibility of extension

Pay rate: $52 - $57 hourly

Schedule: Mon-Friday 8a-4p (flexible)

Skills: Minimum of 2 years of experience. Able to perform screening and diagnostic mammography at a minimum.

Duties:

  • Performs mammographic procedure on In/Outpatients according to published department protocols.
  • Reviews each prescription, history questionnaire, and patient record prior to the examination to ensure all pertinent information is available for radiologist interpretation.
  • Performs radiologic examination with a high standard of accuracy in positioning and technical factors.
  • Practices universal precautions, and aseptic technique to prevent cross contamination.
  • Practice National Patient Safety Goals, obtaining a minimum of two patient identifiers with each and every patient.
  • Processes images using the PAC system.
  • Ensures work lists are cleaned up daily.
  • Monitors and resolves Exceptions List daily.
  • Proper utilization of the Breast reporting system(PenRad), EMR and PACS systems.
  • Proper loading of external imaging and creation of necessary orders and scanning of reports into PACS system for radiologist review.

Job Requirements:

  • ARRT (R) and (M)
  • BLS
  • Must meet all ECE requirements to maintain their Mammo certification.
  • The requirement is 200 Mammograms in 36 months to meet MQSA requirements.

Note: Ability to performed DEXA and Biopsy procedures that is a plus.
