*Job Title: Mammography Technician*
*Position Type:* 13-Week Contract
*Location:* Morristown, NJ 07960
*Pay Rate:* $65-$72 per hour
*Schedule:* 5 days per week, with shift hours varying based on department needs. Weekend and weekday on-call requirements included.

*Required Qualifications:*
* *Minimum of 2 years* of experience as a Mammography Technician.
* Ability to perform screening and diagnostic mammograms.
* Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Mammography course.
* *ARRT (R) and (M)* certification.
* Active *state Mammography license*.
* *BLS* certification.
* Must meet *MQSA* guidelines (200 mammograms in 36 months) and maintain *ECE* requirements for Mammography.

*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Experience in performing DEXA and stereotactic biopsy procedures.

*Key Responsibilities:*
* Perform mammographic procedures on inpatients and outpatients.
* Review prescriptions, history questionnaires, and patient records prior to procedures.
* Ensure proper positioning and technical factors for accurate image acquisition.
* Practice universal precautions and aseptic techniques.
* Process images using the PAC system and ensure timely completion of cases.
* Perform bone density scans and maintain proficiency in interventional procedures, including needle localization and biopsies.
* Maintain cleanliness of work area, ensure proper inventory of supplies, and assist with equipment malfunctions.
* Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff.
* Adhere to the ALARA principle for radiation protection.
* Provide quality care in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $65.00 - $72.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:
* 8 hour shift
* Day shift
* Monday to Friday

Experience:
* Mammography Technician: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:
* BLS Certification (Required)
