Radiator Shop Technician

Shift Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm
Pay: $25/hour
Location: Englewood, CO 80110
Experience: Minimum 1 year Radiator Shop experience

Technicians are tasked with processing radiators and other cooling components through each step of the repair process. Parts are checked in and thoroughly washed before being pressure tested and evaluated for their reparability. If able to be salvaged, the technician will work with their shop manager to establish the steps needed to repair the specific part. Different steps must be taken for different part types, and repair procedures may include soldering, bolting, sandblasting, painting, and welding.
This role is a full-time position and will report directly to the Shop Manager.

Radiator Shop Technician Responsibilities:

  • Check in and document all inbound parts.
  • Perform any disassembly and/or cutting of components to prepare for cleaning & service.
  • Inspect components and identify parts which cannot be cleaned and require replacement.
  • Thoroughly pressure wash and flush components in the wash bay.
  • Pressure test components for leaks and identify areas of defect.
  • Disassemble and repair damages, which may require soldering, welding, or bolt-on repairs.
  • Sandblast and repaint finished product in preparation for return to customer.
  • Communicate with shop manager as needed.
  • Organize and maintain any scrap materials resulting from services.
  • Ensure tools and shop equipment are routinely cleaned, organized and maintained.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Radiator Shop Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy parts and boxes up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to proficiently operate manual and power hand tools.
  • Must be able to tolerate high and low temperatures.
