About the Position

Join a specialized team supporting the Naval Information Warfare Center - Pacific (NIWC-PAC) in its mission to power secure, cutting-edge research for Department of Defense (DoD) operations. We’re seeking experienced Full Stack Engineers to enhance NIWC-PAC’s COSMOS platform, a sophisticated cloud system designed to manage mission-critical DoD workloads.

Job Role

As a Full Stack Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying secure, high-performance software within an AWS-based ecosystem. You’ll work on:

  • Cloud Native Access Point (CNAP) Network Architecture: Creating secure, scalable networks compliant with DoD standards.
  • Self-Service Web Portals: Building user-friendly interfaces for mission-critical processes.
  • Cybersecurity Pipelines: Developing automated compliance and security monitoring tools.

️ Key Responsibilities

  • Full-stack development with AWS, Node.js, React, and PostgreSQL
  • Implementing CI/CD pipelines and version control
  • Ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards
  • Collaborating within Agile development teams

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in cloud-based software development
  • Proficiency in AWS services (AWS Lambda, S3, RDS), DevOps, and network security
  • Experience in regulated, high-security environments like DoD preferred

Salary Range

  • Expected Salary: Depending on experience and expertise in cloud security and compliance. Please submit your requirement.

i. Professional Experience
- 5+ years of AWS Cloud Architecture and Infrastructure Engineering experience.
- 5+ years in AWS Cloud Development and Application Deployment.
- 10+ years of Java programming experience.
- 10+ years of experience with Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React.js.
- 5+ years of Project Management experience.
- 5+ years as an Agile Scrum Master.

ii. Infrastructure & Application Skills
- **Azure Entra**: SAML/SCIM Federation & SSO Token Authentication with third-party applications.
- **AWS Landing Zone Accelerator**: Configuration of GovCloud Organization Accounts.
- **AWS CDK & CloudFormation**: Infrastructure and application deployment.
- **AWS Lambda & API Gateway**: Serverless application deployment and operations.
- **AWS GovCloud Integration**: Integration with AWS Commercial accounts for Cloud Billing.
- **AWS SSM Parameter Store & Secrets Manager**: Utilized in AWS Lambda applications.
- **AWS Transit Gateway & VPC**: Configuration in LZA GovCloud for custom applications and CSSP agents.
- **CSSP Agent Installations**:
  - Elastic (ELK), Nessus (ACAS), Trellix/McAfee (EPO/ESS).
- **Netskope NPA**: ZTNA configuration and automated SSO/SCIM integration.
- **RegScale**: Deployment on ECS Fargate, configuration, and automated integration via REST API.
- **Wiz & ServiceNow**: Configuration and automated integration via REST API.

iii. Software Languages & Tools Proficiency
- **Java**: Version 11+ development and operations, Maven builds, and GraalVM optimization.
- **Node.js**: Version 18+ development, container deployment, and operations with Lambda.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript**: Development with Azure Entra SSO, Zod, TRPC, and Kysely.
- **React.js**: UX design and UI development with Material UI, Tailwind CSS, Axios, and TanStack.
- **PostgreSQL**: SQL query support and database maintenance.

iv. Certifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (or comparable experience).
- ACAS 201 Certification.
