Material Operations Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the organization, maintenance, and efficiency of materials, facilities, and fleet operations while leading a dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

  • Material Operations:
  • Oversee material purchasing, inventory management, and order fulfillment to ensure accurate and efficient processes.
  • Develop and manage shipping, receiving, and storage systems, including inspections and proper tagging of materials.
  • Facilities Management:
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of all buildings and grounds, including parking areas and landscaping.
  • Coordinate HVAC maintenance, fire inspections, and vendor services such as cleaning and waste removal.
  • Organize and support company events, from planning to clean-up.
  • Fleet Management:
  • Manage a fleet of ~75 vehicles, including maintenance, registration, and outfitting with necessary equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections and coordinate vehicle repairs while maintaining 2-3 stocked spare vans.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable facilities and warehouse staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with team members to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols across all operations, from warehouse procedures to fleet management.
  • Ensure all equipment, vehicles, and facilities meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of experience in material management, logistics, or related fields.
  • 3+ years in a leadership role managing teams in a warehouse, facilities, or fleet environment.
  • Ability to operate and maintain warehouse machinery and fleet vehicles.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with an eye for detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Willingness to perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Preferred:

  • Technical certifications in logistics, facilities management, or fleet operations.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems, safety standards (OSHA/DOT), and vendor negotiations.
  • Background in event planning or coordinating operational projects.
