 JOB SUMMARY:

• To perform unskilled manufacturing work and assist in performing manual work such as moving equipment, tools, and materials
• Grinding to assemble products and product parts to established blueprint and engineering specifications

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs manual tasks such as assisting in carrying parts and tools, and materials to and from the job, lifts and holds parts, use of hand tools and cleans up work areas
• Under direction, may, grind, and files parts of metal stock; may be directed to use pedestal or drill press for rough work
• Masking, Unmasking, sanding, and cleaning cases in preparation for painting
• Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job. Plans details of working procedure and tools and material requirements
• Operate grinding machines to grind angles, contours, lines spheres, etc. on to surfaces
• Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly
• Support production schedule by safely performing work efficiently.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• May be assigned to clean and sweep-up duties in manufacturing operations and all areas in the facility
• Assists on heavy jobs

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or an equivalent required
• 0-2 years of experience required.
• Manual dexterity skills.
