Job DescriptionJob Description

Process Engineer needed to oversee technical studies, project implementation, and regulatory compliance at the plant site. Responsible for maintaining hardware and software of process computers, with a focus on DCS control systems. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, performs unit optimization studies, and participates in engineering efforts for process and cost improvements. Manages Management of Change program, process safety information, and serves as a main point of contact for plant technical issues.

 

 

 

 

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø  Conduct technical studies for unit optimization, emphasizing safety, environmental compliance, reliability, efficiency, and cost improvements.

Ø  Participate in team design engineering efforts to identify and achieve process and cost improvements.

Ø  Prepare AFEs, MOCs, and Incident Reports related to technical issues. Approve MOCs for technical details and process hazard analysis reviews.

Ø  Act as the main point of contact for plant technical issues, working cross-functionally with accounting, operations, and maintenance.

Ø  Maintain Process Safety Information, administer and monitor MOC records' status.

Ø  Manage and maintain process computers, including updates, programming, safety system testing, and training.

Ø  Develop software for daily review of utility and raw material consumption figures and production data.

Ø  Liaise with the Client's Environmental Control department and quality control laboratory.

Ø  Assist in the reconciliation of production, utility, and raw material consumption data.

Ø  Serve as a backup for the Manufacturing Expert and participate in rotating on-call responsibilities.

Ø  Oversee and submit required environmental reports, including primary coordination of the N2O Project.

Ø  Ensure completion of regulatory reporting activities, including SDS and product specification files.

Ø  Maintain the CEMS system for emissions reporting.

 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

v  BS in Chemical Engineering.

v  10+ years of experience, with a minimum of 3 years in Chemical Processing Plant.

v  Prefer Project Engineering experience, and leadership in projects under $3 million.

v  Knowledge of Pi experience, Microsoft Office Suite.
