Summary:
Adecco is currently helping a local client in Casper, WY seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate conventional and special-purpose machines, including computerized numerical control (CNC) machines and machining centers. This role is responsible for fabricating metallic and nonmetallic parts, following precise specifications, and ensuring high-quality, accurate results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Read and interpret prints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, sample parts, or parts to be machined to determine tool offsets, dimensions, tolerances, tool paths, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

  • Measure and mark dimensions, tool offsets, and reference points on material or workpieces as guides for subsequent machining.

  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, drill presses, grinders, and shapers.

  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.

  • Set up and operate machines on trial runs to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.

  • Start and observe machine operation, detecting malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls or settings as required.

  • Verify the conformance of finished workpieces to specifications, ensuring parts meet customer and company quality standards.

  • Fill out move tickets for completed parts and ensure proper documentation of work performed.

  • Work with Supervisor, Engineering, Production Control, or other teams to resolve machining or assembly issues.

  • Comply with all applicable company policies, including safety guidelines, and take action to correct hazards or recommend guidance to avoid injury or damage to employees or equipment.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to minimize safety hazards and promote efficiency.

Other Duties:

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment to prevent accidents and ensure smooth operations.

  • Perform related duties as required, ensuring tasks are completed in alignment with company and customer expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in machining or a related field.

  • Experience with CNC machines, mills, lathes, drill presses, and other machining equipment.

  • Strong understanding of machining processes and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications are a plus.



Pay Details: $29.22 to $33.10 per hour
