Job DescriptionJob Description

Express Employment Professionals are hiring for an Experienced Machinist for a day shift full time position in Logan, UT.

* Mon-Thu 6:00 am - 5:00 pm. (No Fridays)

*1-hour lunch

*Pay will depend on experience from $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Duties and responsibilities of the machinist:

  • Assists and/or operates CNC machining centers and saws.
  • Performs in-process inspections utilizing blueprint specifications.
  • Performs pre-staging of tooling, fixtures, and pre-cut raw material.
  • Prepares and saw cuts raw materials.
  • Cleans machines and work area.
  • Deburrs and cleans parts.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications for the machinist:

  • 3 year of experience is required
  • Most be able to pass an aptitude/mechanical test
  • The ability to perform basic routine set-up and fabrication of machined parts.
  • Basic knowledge of shop equipment including ability to use good judgment and safe practices.
  • The ability to read and interpret documents, and accurately follow written/verbal instructions.
  • Basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication
  • Good interpersonal skills and written communication skills to interface with employees and supervisor
  • Basic computer skill
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
