Job Summary
The Imaging Technologist plays a critical role in the healthcare team by performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients. This position requires you to produce computerized tomographic (CT) images of designated anatomical areas as directed and according to established departmental practices and procedures. Assists physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using appropriate CT equipment. Understands and can function fully with post processing of images on PACS equipment. The Imaging Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment, often within a Level II Trauma Center, collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Perform high-quality imaging procedures including CT.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assist in identifying patient conditions.
- Ensure accurate positioning of patients to obtain optimal images while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Maintain equipment functionality through regular checks and troubleshooting as needed.
- Collaborate with emergency medicine teams in the ER to provide timely imaging services.
- Educate patients on procedures and address any concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation.
- Document all imaging results accurately and maintain patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay updated on advancements in imaging technology and techniques.
Skills
- Proficient in mammography techniques and protocols.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to diagnostic imaging.
- Experience working within a Level II Trauma Center environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with emergency medicine practices related to imaging services.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations effectively under pressure.
- Competence in operating various imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in imaging results.
Requirements:
- 1 year of CT experience
- Associates Degree from two-year college or technical school
- BLS
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
