We are currently seeking RCP Motor Mechanics.

Job Description:

  • Disassembly and reassembly of vertical motors up to 12,000 HP (13.2kw Voltage).
  • Work with and around radioactive materials (using proper PPE).
  • Troubleshoot oil leaks, vibration problems, etc.
  • Perform incoming and outgoing test runs on motors.
  • Miscellaneous mechanical tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Must be able to successfully complete and maintain Radiological Worker Training annually (cost covered by employer).
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience disassembling, troubleshooting, and reassembling motors and/or pumps.
  • Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed (nights/weekends).
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must know how to identify and use basic hand tools.
  • Must know how to use M&TE to include dial indicators, micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches, pressure gauges, etc.
  • Some basic electrical skills and knowledge preferred, however not required.
  • Must know how to safely operate a forklift.
  • Must be familiar with the use of an overhead crane and basic rigging.
  • Must understand use and adherence of written work instruction.

NOTE: This position requires drug and background screening.
