Location: Chatsworth, CA
Salary: $130,000 (DOE) + up to $35,000 in yearly bonus
This is a direct-hire position

As the Senior Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing innovative purchasing strategies that drive our business forward. You will manage key supplier relationships, optimize procurement processes, and ensure the timely acquisition of top-tier hardware and components. This role requires a proactive leader with exceptional negotiation skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to achieve outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement advanced purchasing strategies and KPIs that align with company objectives and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Negotiations & Supplier Management: Secure advantageous long-term contracts and build strong supplier relationships through expert negotiations and strategic partnerships.
  • Market Analysis: Continuously analyze market trends and supplier performance to maintain a competitive edge and ensure timely procurement of necessary components.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with customer service, sales, operations, and quality teams to ensure smooth integration of procurement activities and high-quality product outcomes.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and drive opportunities for process improvements, enhancing efficiency, and cost-effectiveness within the purchasing department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in purchasing, preferably within the aerospace or distribution industries.
  • Proven track record of successful negotiations and supplier management.
  • Proficient with ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analytics for strategic decision-making.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to driving continuous improvement.
