As one of our Fire Alarm Technicians, you’ll be responsible for the programming and commissioning of fire alarm systems as well as wiring fire alarm systems, running any needed fire alarm cabling, and completing the necessary field paperwork. You’ll be responsible for ensuring quality work and providing top customer service, while helping us develop a culture that is friendly, productive and promotes teamwork.

What we’re looking for…

Industry Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience programming or installing fire alarm systems.
  • Have demonstrated understanding of NFPA codes and standards for installation.
  • A NICET certification is a benefit but not required.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be 18+
  • Per Fireline’s insurance policy, it is a requirement that employees ages 21 and over are permitted to drive company vehicles
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record to be able to meet specific criteria defined by our vehicle insurance carriers.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Fireline is a drug-free company. Employees will be required to take a drug test at the time of hire and periodically throughout their employment. This will include the testing of cannabinoids (marijuana), opiates, amphetamines, and methamphetamines. Fireline is a DOT regulated business working in the life safety industry and per DOT rule 49 CFR Part.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Be comfortable working in different environments as our technicians work indoors and outdoors.
  • The ability to read, speak, sit, stand, walk, use your hands, reach, climb ladders, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of measuring, cutting, and installing materials as well as read and understand CAD drawings.
  • Some experience with computer skills using MS Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF is needed to perform the work.
