Job Description
JLB is a Nashville, TN based Website, Brand and Digital Marketing agency that has been in business for over 20+ years. We are currently looking for a Full-Time Copywriter interested in collaborating with some of the top industries and businesses in Middle Tennessee. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with experience in the ever-changing Digital Marketing industry.
Our goal is to find an individual ready to hit the ground running with our current copywriting needs. This role will focus primarily on creating high-quality, engaging content for client projects, including blog articles, website copy, and other digital assets.
This position's annual salary range is $40,000 - $50,000 based on experience with long-term opportunity for salary growth.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
Write, edit, and proofread blog posts, website pages, landing pages, and other digital content for client projects across various industries.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand brand voice, business objectives, and target audiences. Develop clear, compelling copy that aligns with client goals and target audiences.
Conduct keyword research and integrate relevant keywords into content to enhance organic search visibility.
Meet monthly quota of marketing copywriting for clients and internal marketing objectives. This includes but is not limited to: Blogs, guides, social media captions, website copy, branding copy, press releases, print collateral copy, email campaigns.
Work within current processes established by the marketing team.
This position does not allow the use of AI-assisted writing.
Additional work may include:
Meeting with clients to review their marketing and website copy goals, creating topic suggestions for digital marketing content like blogs, guides, and email campaigns.
Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush) to track content performance and suggest data-driven improvements.
Work closely with designers, developers, and marketing team members to create cohesive, visually appealing content.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or related disciplines
At least 2+ years of professional copywriting experience
Industry research skills
Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability
Proficiency in modern office software such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Proficiency in using modern CRM and Project Management software.
Preferred Qualifications
Agency or digital marketing experience.
Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace).
Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides
Technical writing background within the following industries: Legal Services, Medical Field, IT Industry, Industrial Manufacturing, Home Services.
Keyword Research: Proficiency with tools like Google Keyword Planner, Moz, or SEMrush.
