POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Project Analyst and Manager
Organizational Relationships: Reports to Project Management Office (PMO) Manager
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
General Function: Serves as a project solution architect, acting as the conduit for requirements that flow between the Project Owner and the Stakeholders’ teams. Also develops, leads, and manages to a timely completion assigned projects under established PMO processes and oversight of the PMO Manager.
Position Functions:
Project Analysis
- Elicit, bring together, supervise, and document project requirements and goals for a given system using standard PBA methodologies by working with the project owner and other team members.
- Develop and/or facilitate the development analytical cases, studies, and assessments to support decision making and solution implementation, including feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and/or risk assessments.
- Conduct post-implementation closing review to identify project requirements and objectives were met and develop a plan with the Team in addressing any gaps.
- Collect, document and maintain solution documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and/ process diagrams to support project teams.
- Facilitate the research to recommend improvements to business processes, organization, and rules that can increase the advantages gained from technical and non-technical solutions.
Project Management
- Develop and monitor assigned projects’ tasks, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths within established standards to ensure timely completion and a cohesive, functional project team.
- Coordinate, lead, and manage meetings and communication in accordance with the projects’ Communication Plan.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
- Proactively mitigate risks to drive small to large, technical, and non-technical projects to timely completion.
General
- Assist in the development of PMO processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Support change management activities.
- Remain informed about industry trends and best practices to recommend and implement continuous improvements and enhancements to enterprise solutions, applications, and products.
- Identify and contribute to opportunities for PMO process improvements.
- Establish and apply Whitefish Credit Union methodology and standards to projects and actions taken.
- Report to work on time and as scheduled.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Adept in project management methodologies (i.e. Agile, Waterfall, Project Lifecycle).
- Adept in project business analysis methodologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Teams.
- Proficiency in project management software required (Smartsheet experience preferred).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to see and understand the interconnectivity of processes, systems and roles in a project and the organization.
- Ability to work effectively independently as well as within a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing and over the phone with all internal and external stakeholders. Courtesy and tact are essential.
- Ability and willingness to interact calmly and professionally with people from all backgrounds.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize day-to-day responsibilities with attention to detail and timeliness.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work with others in an effective manner, listen well, share work-related information and be tolerant of others’ work styles.
- Competent with Microsoft Office; ability and willingness to work with a variety of office equipment and software systems.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs., with or without accommodation.
- Complete mandatory annual BSA training that includes Red Flag, Identity Theft, OFAC, CTR and SAR reporting and thresholds, as well as the safe keeping of member information, and passes any applicable tests.
- Follow all Whitefish Credit Union, Montana and Federal information privacy guidelines.
- Adhere to all Whitefish Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Protect Member and Whitefish Credit Union confidential information.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, business administration, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years’ experience leading project teams and delivering projects to success.
- Possess PMP, PBA and/or CAPM certification, or a mixture of certification and related work experience. Ability and willingness to continually pursue certification.
- Credit union/financial services experience highly preferred.
- Symitar and other JHA systems experience preferred.
- Information technology project experience preferred.
