Pipefitter

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and materials required for piping systems
• Cut, thread, and weld pipes using hand and power tools, ensuring accurate measurements and alignments.
• Assemble and install pipes and pipe fittings such as valves, elbows, and couplings according to project requirements.
• Test piping systems for leaks and ensure proper functioning before final installation.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals such as plumbers, welders, and HVAC technicians to complete projects on time and to quality standards.
• Follow safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a pipefitter or similar role in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of pipefitting techniques and methods, including cutting, threading, and welding pipes.
• Familiarity with different types of piping materials such as steel, copper, and PVC.
• Reliable Transportation.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20 to $28 per hour, DOE
