Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (with possible extension)
Shift: 4-10's, 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM, Every Other Weekend
Pay Rate: $2,100 - $2,500 per week (DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • CT Imaging Expertise: Perform computerized tomography scans to capture high-quality diagnostic images for patients. You may also assist with general diagnostic radiology exams as needed.
  • Patient Interaction: Explain procedures to patients, gather medical histories, and ensure patient comfort before, during, and after the exam.
  • CT Scan Setup & Execution: Set up the imaging room, select appropriate CT protocols, and manually control the equipment for optimal results.
  • Administer Contrast Media: Administer IV contrast media and utilize power injectors while monitoring patients for any reactions, providing immediate care if necessary.
  • Radiology Support: Assist radiologists with more complex imaging procedures (e.g., biopsies) and ensure sterile techniques are followed when needed.
  • PACS & RIS Documentation: Resolve image exceptions, complete study indexing in the Radiology Information System (RIS), and confirm image quality in PACS.
  • Safety First: Ensure patient safety by following radiation protection protocols, including ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) techniques, shielding, and proper equipment settings.
  • Team Collaboration: Maintain open communication with team members, provide support to colleagues, and ensure that patient care is prioritized at all times.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Certifications:
    • ARRT (RT) Certification.
    • CT Registry (or registry-eligible) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in CT and Radiology.
  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred:

  • Trauma Experience: Previous experience working in Level 1 Trauma Centers is a plus.
  • Familiarity with PACS and RIS systems.
  • Experience with advanced imaging techniques and safety protocols.
