The Clinical Learning Strategist (CLS) is responsible for providing instructional design-driven strategic direction in the development and implementation of healthcare education concepts, products, and services. This role will work closely with business development, client services, and content teams to help deliver the highest quality needs assessments, proposals, and project executions.
Vetting strong business and content leads, growing a network of specialists in healthcare education and business sectors, monitoring the latest impactful clinical and industry updates, and facilitating client meetings are key aspects of the role.
What a day in the life of a ReachMD Clinical Learning Strategist looks like:
- Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Leading teams in the strategy and design of clinical learning experiences.
- Creating standardized best practices, procedures, and job aides to ensure the effective and efficient design and development of clinical learning experiences:
- Conducting needs analyses
- Facilitating design and development sessions with internal teams and clients
- Developing educational plans in alignment with learner and client needs
- Preparing learning experiences for medical/legal review
- Assessing disease state, product, and brand awareness needs for clients.
- Researching updates from clinical, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries to inform and advise editorial and business development teams.
- Translating dense, technical academic information into engaging, persuasive messages.
- Participating in client meetings as an educational subject matter expert.
- Utilizing data analytics to inform current and future service recommendations.
- Generating creative, evidence-based client solutions to drive business development.
- Networking with clinical specialists and medical/scientific affairs representatives in various academic and health industry sectors.
- Attending health professional conferences, talks, and events where applicable.
What we expect from qualified candidates:
- Possess an advanced clinical, scientific, education, or business degree (MD/DO, PhD, EdD, PharmD, NP, RN with Masters certification, MBA, etc).
- Possess exceptional verbal, analytical, written, and presentational communication skills.
- Understand the processes of clinical research, pharmaceutical product development, and approvals.
- Exhibit strong leadership and teaching qualities.
- Demonstrate superior interpersonal skills to create and sustain relationships with clinicians, clinical educators, and industry leaders.
- Be flexible and independent while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate effectively and consistently with clients and vendors.
- Maintain excellent attention to detail.
- Understand content strategies and trends that will guide engagement.
- Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
- Be able to travel and work extended hours as needed.
- Be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
