We are in search of a Payroll Accountant to join our team in The Woodlands, Texas. In this role, you will be tasked with handling full cycle payroll for a small company, maintaining an accurate record of employee payments and ensuring that our payroll processes align with our transition to PAYLOCITY. This role is situated within the Accounting Functions industry.


Responsibilities:

• Carry out full cycle payroll for a small firm, managing payment for 280 employees across two states on a biweekly basis.

• Ensure the successful transition to PAYLOCITY for payroll processes.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various tasks, including the use of VLOOKUP’s and Pivot Tables.

• Conduct regular reconciliations and journal entries.

• Carry out heavy research and data verification tasks as part of your role.

• Oversee and manage employee expense reports.

• Take full ownership of your role, demonstrating a commitment to accuracy and detail.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Payroll Accountant.

• Mastery of accounting functions is mandatory.

• Proven experience in handling full cycle payroll.

• Capable of managing payroll for 101 to 500 employees.

• Familiarity with handling payroll for unionized staff members.

• Ability to process bi-weekly payroll accurately and efficiently.

• Demonstrated experience in reconciling payroll discrepancies.

• Proficiency in using Paylocity software for payroll management.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
