1. Food Preparation
- Prep work: Wash, peel, chop, and slice vegetables, fruits, meats, and other ingredients.

- Marinating & seasoning: Prepare meats, fish, and other proteins by marinating and seasoning them according to recipes.
- Sauce and stock preparation: Make sauces, soups, stocks, and dressings as required.
2. Cooking and Food Production
- Grilling, sautéing, frying, and roasting: Cook food to order, following recipes and ensuring consistency and quality.
- Timing and coordination: Ensure food is cooked and served at the correct temperature, texture, and presentation within the designated time frame.
- Cooking methods: Use various cooking techniques (grilling, broiling, poaching, etc.) to prepare a wide variety of dishes.
- Plating: Arrange food on plates or in serving containers with attention to detail and aesthetics.
3. Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization
- Kitchen cleanliness: Keep the kitchen, workstations, and cooking equipment clean, organized, and sanitized.
- Dishware and utensils: Ensure all utensils, pots, pans, and dishware are properly cleaned and maintained.
- Food safety: Follow food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and labeling of food.
4. Stock and Inventory Management
- Ingredient inventory: Monitor ingredient levels and communicate with kitchen management when stocks are low.
- Waste reduction: Aim to minimize food waste by utilizing ingredients efficiently and following portion control guidelines.
5. Collaboration and Communication
- Teamwork: Work closely with other cooks, kitchen staff, and servers to ensure smooth operation during service.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with other team members, especially in busy or high-pressure situations.
- Adaptability: Be able to adjust to changing orders and special requests from customers.
6. Quality Control
- Consistency: Ensure that food is consistently prepared and cooked to the highest standard.

- Customer satisfaction: Address any issues with the food that might arise and work with the kitchen or front-of-house staff to resolve them.
7. Time Management

8. Compliance with Health & Safety Standards
