We are looking for a Retail Meat Manager to join our team Meat cutting knowledge not necessary, will train the right candidate

Responsiblities:

  • Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery, to ensure meat quality.
  • Supervise other butchers or meat cutters.
  • Prepare and place meat cuts and products in display counter, so they will appear attractive and catch the shopper's eye.
  • Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers.
  • Total sales, and collect money from customers.
  • Wrap, weigh, label and price cuts of meat.
  • Track how long meat can be displayed before it must be thrown away, prepare, package and display meats, and help customers with large or special orders.
  • Customer service is a high priority task.
  • Open availability necessary.
  • Other duties assigned on a need driven basis

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 5 years experience in either retail management or meat cutting.
  • Meat cutting knowledge not necessary, will train the right candidate
  • Candidate must be able to manage 8-15 staff while maintaining the customer and product flow.
  • Meat cutting experience helpful but not necessary
  • Retail meat, grocery, club store or comparable experience necessary.
  • Customer Service: Meat cutters work with customers to fulfill orders. They may need to answer questions and make recommendations for different cuts of meat.
