Board Certified Otolaryngologist

CVP is seeking a Board Certified Otolaryngologist (ENT) Physician to provide a range of Otolaryngology services in a state-of-the-art facility for the Columbia VA Health Care System in Columbia, SC. This is an exciting opportunity to serve our nation's veterans with high-quality ear, nose, and throat care.
Location: Columbia VA Health Care System, 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia SC 29209.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
Pay: This is a 1099 career opportunity with an offer rate of $302.28/hour.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive clinical Otolaryngology services including the full range of ENT surgical procedures such as thyroidectomy, parotidectomy, sinus surgery, head/neck cancer removal, and pan endoscopy.
- Conduct patient consultations, examinations, and follow-ups in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Conduct patient intraoperative and postoperative follow- up care.
- Perform postoperative rounds on ENT patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) and on the wards.
- Participate in morbidity and mortality conferences, providing appropriate information for departmental reports.
- Complete clinical progress notes in the electronic health record system within 48 hours of patient visits.
- Process incoming consults and individual view alerts in CPRS within required timeframes.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and staff meetings as required.
- Demonstrate VA's core values of Integrity, Commitment, Advocacy, Respect, and Excellence (ICARE) in all patient and staff interactions.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Proof of professional liability insurance.
- Board Certification by the American Board of Otolaryngology.
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth.
- Current DEA certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Ability to obtain and maintain clinical privileges at the Columbia VA Health Care System.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust government security clearance. U.S. citizenship required.

- Prior experience working in the VA healthcare system.
- Familiarity with VA electronic health record systems.
