Job Description

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a second-shift lead supervisor to join our facility in Eldridge, IA. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a workforce with a focus on safety, productivity, warehousing, quality, and housekeeping using established procedures and processes. The 2nd shift hours are from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with potential overtime until 1:00 AM. Candidates must be willing to train on the 1st shift until they are fully up to speed with the processes.

Responsibilities
  • Understand production goals and implement actions necessary to meet objectives.
  • Supervise the filling of time-sensitive orders.
  • Coordinate shipments to ensure on-time deliveries and error-free shipments.
  • Provide leadership to direct reports; coach and counsel employees.
  • Provide daily reporting on various operational metrics.
  • Facilitate problem-solving and team-building activities.
  • Carry out and support company policy, goals, and objectives.
  • Understand quality goals and implement actions to meet them.
  • Ensure training is effectively carried out and oversee the completion of the training checklist.
  • Communicate with other departments within the facility and other company locations.
  • Understand customer requirements and participate in decisions regarding material suitability and processing capabilities.
  • Provide direction and coaching in safe work practices; support safety goals.
  • Review unsafe conditions and ensure corrective actions are carried out to eliminate workplace hazards.

  • Forklift certification is advantageous.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eldridge, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $70000.00/hr.
