Job Description

Our client has an opportunity for a second-shift supervisor to join our facility in Eldridge, IA. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be required to manage a workforce in safety, productivity, warehousing, quality, and housekeeping using established procedures and processes. The 2nd shift hours are from 2:30pm to 11pm, with the possibility of overtime until 1am. Candidates should be comfortable training on the 1st shift until they are up to speed on the company’s processes.

Responsibilities

• Understand production goals and implement actions necessary to meet objectives
• Supervise the filling of time-sensitive orders
• Coordinate shipments
• Ensure on-time deliveries and error-free shipments
• Provide leadership to direct reports; coach and counsel employees
• Provide daily reporting
• Facilitate problem-solving team-building activities
• Carry out and support company policy, goals, and objectives
• Understand quality goals and implement actions necessary to meet goals
• Ensure training is effectively carried out and oversee completion of the training checklist
• Communicate with other departments within the facility as well as other locations
• Understand customer requirements, participate and advise on decisions regarding suitability of material and processing capabilities
• Provide direction and coaching in safe work practices; support safety goals
• Review unsafe conditions and ensure corrective actions are carried out to eliminate workplace hazards

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $70000.00
