We are looking for a motivated Accounting Manager to lead and develop a small team of accounting professionals. The ideal candidate will have solid accounting experience working for a public company, possess strong leadership skills, and have a keen sense of ownership over their work. In this role, you will oversee finance related activities, manage the month-end close process, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the month-end close process for General Ledger activities.
  • Review and post accounting entries prepared by team members.
  • Conduct account analysis and reconciliations.
  • Plan and coordinate special analysis projects as needed.
  • Oversee loan-related activities, including accruals and estimates for subsidiaries.
  • Assist in implementing a new ERP system (Workday).
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in accounting procedures.
  • Serve as the main contact for external auditors.
  • Lead projects related to potential acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with FP&A team on financial forecasting.
  • Support accounting close and reporting for other business areas as needed.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 1-2 accounting professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, including public accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with SQL and Workday systems.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong problem-solving mindset.
